I spent my last two years of high school, four years of college, and 48 hours of graduate college reading and writing dry research reports, scientific journals, textbooks, and other works activating the higher order thinking skills typically attributed to the mythical left side of the brain. While the research text was certainly intellectually enriching, it lacked elements to fire the irons of the imaginative and creative part of myself.
Of course, during that time I engaged in other activities that fulfilled that part of my psyche: acting, singing, etc. However, I still have not gotten back into that swing of writing from my imagination like I did between the ages of 5 and 15.
This blog is an attempt to get myself writing creatively again. I decided it had to be accessible to the public, with a bit of accountability to an audience, in order to keep myself going. Otherwise anything I invent gets organized into a hidden folder on my computer, where it fades into obscurity even from myself.
So, here you will find attempts a starting some tales, flash fiction entries from various places on the web (like Writing.com), and various other creative miscellany in short bursts. If you have any compliments, suggestions, complaints, pointers, or just want to say, "Hey, I read something!" please let me know.
